Jordan Krutsch is an artist and designer residing in Clyde, North Carolina. Originally from Defiance, Ohio, he graduated from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio in December of 2010 with a BFA in sculpture. In 2017 Jordan graduated with his MFA from Western Carolina University and currently works as an instructor and technician at The University of North Carolina at Asheville’s STEAM studio.
I enjoy making sculpture because I am a tactile person; I need to be working with my hands at all times. Playing, building, and re-appropriating materials through bricolage are the core modes of my work. Ever-evolving with new surroundings and materials, my artwork helps one consider connections between themselves and their surroundings.
